When moving to Copenhagen, most
people start their housing search with a quick Google search. Often, they
stumble across popular platforms like BoligPortal, FindRoommate, or various
housing groups on Facebook. While these can be effective, they can also be the
prime hunting grounds for scammers. To avoid the common pitfalls, it's crucial
to know the safest and most reliable resources.
Below is a list of the most
dependable websites I've come across. These platforms offer a wide range of
housing options across different locations in Denmark, not just limited to
Copenhagen. They are user-friendly and provide detailed listings, making it
easier to find a place that suits your needs and budget without the constant
worry of falling victim to a scam. However, these are not sites that are for
room searchers, rather for those looking for a studio or multi room apartment.
Home.dk is a real estate agent, one of the well-known
agencies in Denmark. They have both homes for sale and for rent. They advertise
and hold viewings for the building administrators, meaning you will most likely
be put in contact with the building administrator when you decide to rent one
of their advertised buildings.
Findbolig.nu's goal is to help you find your new accommodation
safely, meaning that they screen the advertised apartments. Findbolig.nu is
actually developed by DEAS, which is a developer/landlord that may come up
often in your search for housing.
EDC.dk provides comprehensive real estate services, such as buying, selling, renting and valuation, catering to both local and international clients. Their online platform features detailed property listings, market insights, and professional advice, making it easier for users to find their ideal home of investment.
When using EDC's platform, it is important to filter your search to include only properties listed by EDC agents by selecting "Kun ejendomme fra EDC" ("Only properties from EDC"). This is because EDC also aggregates listings from other websites, which may not always be reliable.
